Numbness, itchy, cold, burning leg

For 4 months, I have suffered from a numb, itchy, and cold/burning right upper leg. It is also sensitive to the touch and I sometimes get stabbing pains in the same area. In June it started as a quarter size area...now it has increased to my whole front leg. I do have an appt. for an MRI next week, but am very curious about this until I get a final diagnosis. The doctor I chose to go to did not offer much info...he thinks I may have a damaged nerve in my back. He also told me during my exam that I have 'brisk reflexes' and had asked me if I had always had 'brisk reflexes'. He seemed very concerned about this condition. I also have fatigue and always a feeling of muscle aches and sometimes confusion. Please...anyone that has suffered from this condition, please respond....I am very concerned about this and would appreciate any info from anyone!

I am not overweight (actually, I love my weight) but my pain is in my left leg below my knee but it does not itch. It is just a tingy/ numbness that takes a while to get rid of. I do not have any other health issues nor do I take any medicine. I did make an appointment with my primary care doctor because now I am getting scared because it comes and goes.

ok so i'm not the only one who has this...i get numbness, a cold feeling, and stabbing pains in my right uppper thigh.  this started when i was 16 and working in a retail clothing store and i squatted down to pick something up and i felt a pop in my hip and then numbness.  though my issue is not constant it only seems to happen when i'm sitting up right and have my legs straight out in front of me or when i'm laying on my back with my knees apart and usually goes away if i reposition myself or get up and walk.

I was wondering if the doctor found your problem with the MRI scan.

Sounds like you might have fibromyalgia.  Symptoms of this is muscle aches, fatigue, sleep problems,  trouble concentrating  and if your memory is not only bad, but is kind of embarrasing because its so bad, I'd put my money on it being FM. The pain in your upper leg, numbness and pain is probably caused by a pinched nerve.
