One sided facial swelling with tongue swelling

I have been having medical issues for a few years now but new symptoms keep popping up.  The one that has me concerned more then the others is that about a month ago my tongue swelled up, not enough to make swollowing or breathing a problem, but enough that I have my teeth marks along the side of my tongue...it is worse in the mornings then seems to subside during the day not totally but enough that the doctors think it is nothing...but I have also had for months swelling on the left side of my face....and about 3 weeks ago my eyes were bothering me something terrible and then the left side of my face started to swell but it felt like my muscles on the left side of my face were spasming...it would tighten up until my left eye was pratically closed then it would let go and relax then do it again...but the swelling became more apparent...it only did it that one day then 3 days ago it did the same thing.  In the mornings the swelling on the left side is worse and my eyes are runny and gummy....some days I just can not stand the light at all...they did think it was allergies but how can it be if it is just on one side....i am frustated and just want to know what is wrong...please help!

My aunt also had those symptoms and its Bells Palsy she was told. Look it up. Its treatable and not like cerebral palsy or anything. We thought she haf suffered a mi or stroke. Turned out they diagnosed her with that. She is taking a round now of prednisone and it is helping huge. Hope this helps!
