Pins & needles in my feet during excercise

When I use the cross trainer at the gym I can only run for about 15mins before I start to get chronic tingling in my feet (the feeling of pins & needles) which is then constant until I stop the excercise. The feeling goes away almost immediately.
I have tried buying new trainers assuming this may have been the issue, but not so. This has only occurred over the last 6 months or so and I have never had issues like this in the past.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

Hello.

How long have you been training at the gym ?

I suspect your problems are due to exercise induced compartment syndrome. The symptoms typically reduce on resting.

What happens is that pressure inside the muscles increases on exercise. This leads to reduced blood supply the muscle fibers and the nerves (hence the tingling).

The muscles are enclosed in a covering. This covering is too tight. The pressure can be relieved by making a small incision in the covering.

Please consult a surgeon for a diagnosis and further management. And try to avoid the trainer for a few days.

Regards
