sex headaches won't go away

about 9 days ago, (sun Mar 3) while having sex with my wife I experienced an excruciating headache about the time of orgasm and a short while afterwards.  It lingered in a mild for the next day but by Tues I felt fine.  Tues nite the same thing happened but this time the headache subsided but lingered through Thur.  I made an appointment to see a neurologist and she ordered an MRA and we waited for insurance approval.  The headache waxed and waned over the next few days and I was becoming anxious, on Sat I noticed High Blood Pressure (170's over 112) but tried to relax.  It went down to manageable levels so I thought I would wait it out.  I went for a massage that night and bp improved greatly.  I felt fine the next day but that night I had an argument with my wife, bp shot up to the 170s again so I went to the emergency room.  My bp was  180 over 100, they gave me pain killers for my headache, and bp went dow to 160/94.  Waited an hour then gave a ct scan which showed nothing, gave me .25 of clonazepam and I fell asleep about 1/2 hour.  When I woke my bp was 130/80.

On  Mon I found out my insurance denied the MRA, went to see the doctor on Tues where my bp was 150/100 (though I had hurried to office and was rushed in).  Headache still lingers, sometimes it's barely noticable, sometimes it hurts but not enough to prevent me from doing things.

I am contemplating paying for my own MRA.  Obviously, as a father of 2 I am quite anxious and I need to know how worried I should be.  Is there anything I should be refraining from while I wait for testing?  Also, do you know of an effective way to shop around for MRA services to keep the cost down for myself.  Thanks so much for your time, sorry to be so verbose but I thought the more info the easier to provide a helpful answer.

I too am experiencing this "sex headache" im 22 yrs old, 4 days ago i got this explosive pain in the back of my head neck area about 30 seconds before orgasm, the pain became tolerable after a couple hrs but now 4 days later its still lingering and its driving me insane i cant sleep

I am 31 when I was 20 I had a similar sounding experience the second one during sex was so bad I went to hospital . I had every scan you can think of MMR cat and even cerebral aniolgy but nothing . It then went away for ten years , then 3 days ago bang it haopened again during sex but did not last long . Then last night very intense at orgasm until I could not stand . Today Its still lingering . Iboprofin helps but never had it stay this long .
