SFN on and off symptoms...

Hi. I have SFN, is it normal that I have periods of non-stop symptoms, and periods of very mild or non existent symptoms?  The good periods are always shorter than the not so good ones.

The last time I had strong pain, 15 days ago, I also experienced something new aside from the usual pain, tigling ect. my left arm became really cold ( even my husband was amazed of how cold it was) and the rigth one was at normal temperature, then after about 1/2 hour my left arm felt so hot and painfull I had to put ice on it to soothe it a little bit.

I still have to schedule 2 more tests to rule out more causes, but when I feel as good as I feel today I wonder if those tests are really necessary, or am I overcoming my situation? For now Im keeping a symptom diary so I can take to my Neurologist on my next appointment, maybe it will help us both understand better.
