Someone please help me!!

I have several things wrong with me that I'm afraid they're all one big problem. I've gained around 40 lbs over the last year and don't eat any differently. My legs and stomach are always swollen. I have trouble going to the bathroom, hardly have a bowel movement. I get a terrible numbness the whole way up the left hand side of my body, but only the left side. It starts in my foot and slowly goes the whole way up to the left side of my face. This lasts about 15-30 minutes and then the results...I end up with a horrible migraine headache, fever, chills, faint feeling, weak and tired. Does anyone know what these symptoms could be from? Thanks, DC

Yeh, I've had my thyroid tested once before, and I was fine but I'm going to get it checked again. I just don't know really what else it could be. My aunt has Crohn's disease and she's in the 4th (last) stage of it and she keeps telling me to get checked for that too. I just hate to go spend all of that money at the doctor for them to not know whats wrong with me and just keep putting me on meds that only help for the time being. Thanks for your help.

Not a doctor, However, I would suggest getting your thyroid checked out. Being female and your age lots of potential for hormonal changes going on.
