Stabbing Pain in the left temple

Hi There, it's been few days now when I started suffering from this incredible pain in my left (sometimes right) temple. The pain comes really quiclkly and goes away fast too but its so strong that I can feel half of my face just going numb for few seconds. It happens almost every half an hour. I have no idea why as I have never suffered from anything like this before. I have been having so muscle problems in my back and currently undergoing physiotherapy but had only one visit so far so its hard for me to connect both. I really dont like going to the doctors as they only give you 10 minutes and by the time you explain your problem there is no time for the answer...
Does anyone know what might be causing this pain?
Thank you.

I believe I can help ALL of you. I to have suffered from this . It is called trigymenal neuralgia. What helps me,and am shur e will help you all also is a warm moist compress,  3'nerve fix' capsules, and two ibuprophen. Taken twice dayley. It is the only thing I have found that very much helps! It will shorten the duration, and help you sleep at night.

Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.

Generally, one sided throbbing (or sharp) headache (or discomfort) & orbital pain (eye pain) with numbness symptoms could be suggestive of migraine. Factors that may induce your migraine attack may be excessive pills, stress or depression, bright lights, loud noise and traveling. The mainstay of the migraine treatment is always to identify the triggering factors and to avoid them. On the other hand, few patients experience similar pain with sinusitis (sinus with infected mucus), nerve impingement and any neurological disorder.  I would suggest careful record of events that have proceeded with the attack and avoid those factors. In addition, try to rest in a dark & quiet room, meditate, have a balanced diet, avoid taking unnecessary drugs and consult a neurologist. Hope this helps.
