I am back, a little more then a year after my post. I had another MS attack around July '09 and I have since switched to Tysabri. With tysabri, all of my symptoms, (tingling, numbness, and pain) are all but gone. For me, Tysabri was more effective then Copaxone, but if you have MS and are thinking of switching, Tysabri is a very dangerous drug, inform yourself before making the decision.
Hi,
Thanks for the update.
Copaxone is one of the disease modifying agents for MS available on the market. The aminoacids that make up Copaxone protect the myelin sheath of the nerves from attacks by T cells.
It is well known to slow the progression of the disease and also has fewer flu like side effects seen commonly with other drugs used to treat MS.
Thanks
I had an mri done and a spinal tap, it ended up being multiple sclerosis. I am taking Copaxone now
I forgot to say that I am in my mid 20's, female and a college student
