The best neuro-endoscopic surgeon

My 23yo daughter, who had planned to start med school this fall has been diagnosed with a 10mm colloid cyst, following a fainting spell.  Her local neurosurgeon has all but guaranteed brain damage from surgery, and this is unacceptable and so I don't believe he is the right person for the job.

I've read all the recent scholarly articles on colloid cyst surgery, and my understanding is that for most patients, the neuro-endscopic approach is best and if done well there's an excellent chance of full recovery without cognitive impairment. I also have read that it's a very challenging tool to master, requiring vast experience and great talent.

So therefore I'm posting this plea to find the best surgeon and the best hospital in the US for my daughter.

Please help.

I googled Dr. McKhann and spoke with him.
He does indeed seem to fit your description and satisfy my original query.
Thank you.

Guy McKhann, Columbia Presbyterian.  He was the neurosurgeon who performed four craniotomies on my wife.  The finest doctor and most skilled surgeon I have ever met.
