Tingling feeling along right side of face once or twice a day

For the past few months I have been getting periodic facial tingling on the right side of my face. It as if a feather was being past over my face on the right side and in a few seconds it will stop. No pain, no real discomfort. What could this be ?

Thanks for comment. I am NEW here. Just recently I've had rt. side of FACE only tingling sensation several times a day. NO ear. No lip. No eye involved. No Pain....Just rt. side of FACE tingling several times per day and getting worse each month. Doc says, 'Fifth Nerve sunds like to me'. That's it. No explanation! I Pray I don't have something which will get worse like MS. After 7 spine surgeries, cancer, both knee's operated on (ACL, etc. Playing too much tennis growing up) and more I cannot take it. Thanks goodness arms and leg are not affected like some on this site. I feel bad for them. The pain I understand because a botched spine surgery in 1995 left me in chronic pain. Thanks for any advice in advance. Giacomo

Thank you for your question. If you are not having any severe symptoms, then it may most likely occur due to nerve irritation (neuralgia) , neuropathy or lack of blood supply. I would recommend that you consult with your doctor to evaluate above mentioned possibilities in details. Hope this helps.
