Traveling muscle pain

I have had the following symptoms for more than 8 years, that have gotten worse. I have episodes of muscle pain, swollen and weakness that can last several weeks to a few months in one location, then one day the pain is gone and in another location.  Example: my left wrist, then my right shoulder, then my tail bone, go back to my wrist, then to my neck.  These pain areas in the shoulder can include multiple knots up to 3 finger widths, that you can rub out, but return, then one day they are all gone.   If it is in the joint area of the thumb and wrist, it can effect the tendons, feels like someone is twisting your wrist upon certain movements.  These episodes can fade, and every few months I have a major episode that includes also: swollen, red, glassy, eyes that burn, and sinsitive to bright lights including the little green or red stanby or clock lights in the dark with my eyes shut; feeling ill;  inability to sleep;  my muscles hurt all over; and sores that develope with in my nostril that last between 1 to 2 weeks; sinus congestion.  During the day time I may feel tired, but not enough to lay down.  There are tender spots on both of my shins, that do not go away, more so closer to the ankle (I do not have shin splints).  Occassionaly muscle spasms in my upper and lower arms, and thighs. I have a tendency of being cold, it takes me longer to get warm.  This past year I have had unexplained vagina, bladder, intestinal, and stomach pain that moved from one area to the next, one day the pain is gone.  The area below the sternum but over the upper abdomin has been tight and hard,  which has caused problems being able to eat more than a half cup of food, stomach feels to full and if the food will come right back up.  Excercising only makes the symptoms worse sometimes and other times no problems. One time I could rake the yard and I am fine another time I ache from my feet up my body to my fingers as if I was bruised all over.  The first time I was diagnosed, my entire back from my neck to my hip was sore and the Doctor diagnosis was Fibromyalgia because of the tender spots that matched the diagram.  Again this past summer, the doctor labeled it Fibromyalgia.  I do not think it is fibromyalgia.  I have never been tested other than the tender spots for Fibromyalgia.  I have had blood test for arthristis, lyme disease, etc. all were negative.  I had a colonoscopy and stomach scope that has ruled out any problems, same with 2 ultra sounds. I am starting to wonder if the abdomin issues are muscle pain as a result of this on going issue.  Heat is soothing, but cold is not.  Sometimes messages help and other times a gentle message hurts to much. Pressing on the knots some times helps and other times it triggers pain elsewhere.  Are these the symtoms of Myofacial or something us that seems to be virus related that can live in your body?  The past few months, my husband has complained of similar shoulder symptoms, including the red, burning, glassy eyes and ill feeling at the same time I am experiencing the symptoms.

Hi,
Feel sorry for your condition.
A brief note on fibromyalgia.
To meet the fibromyalgia criteria for diagnosis, patients must have:
1. Widespread pain in all four quadrants of their body for a minimum of three months
2. At least 11 of the 18 specified tender points
The 18 sites used for the fibromyalgia diagnosis cluster around the neck, shoulder, chest, hip, knee, and elbow regions.

The primary symptoms of fibromyalgia include widespread musculoskeletal pain, severe fatigue, and disturbed sleep.

Currently, Lyrica is the only FDA-approved drug for the treatment of fibromyalgia
