Twicthing problem

I have been increasing muscle spasm and twitching in different parts of my body.  As a child I suffered from epilepsy due to a head injury. I was treated from age 7 to 13 when the seizures stopped. I have always a tremble in my hands since I had the epilepsy
When I was 24 I injured both of my triceps and was treated for compartment syndrome. I have had 4 surgery’s to correct problems from the compartment syndrome.  The injury resulted in muscle twitching in the arms tingling feeling in the hands.  The muscle twitching a long with muscle spasms have increase as of late and now have moved all over my body.
I went to a neurolgist last week and I told him of my concerns that of the twitching and he did the usual test  touch the finger to the nose follow the light with the eyes walk a straight line test that I have done many times before.  I am 45 and he related all of my muscle spasms to stress and a common family tremble.  I felt that the Dr. was dismissive of my concerns saying that he could not find anything wrong with me and he could order a bunch of test I all I would do is ring up a bunch of medical bills. The doctor said that all the issues I am had nothing do with the head injury I had as a child. I question this.  Another concern that I have about the Doctor is I found out that he does both botox injections and Neurology, I had to asked my self if I where a cancer patient would I want to go to a cancer doctor who does botox injections as well. I have always been treated for very low testosterone, I had a MRI done and it failed find the reason.
I am wondering if the head injury that I had as a child could be causing the problems that I am now having.  I also have gout.

Thank you I will look into Syrinx.  I have started a journal so my next trip to the neurologist I will have a record of what happen and when.  The cramping that came from the rib cage I would rate it at the top of my pain threshold.  I did bring in all my medical records and the doctor did not even take the time to look at them.

I also have twitching and I learned that I have what's called Syringomyelia (AKA Syrinx). They don't know how long I have had it, but I also had head trauma when I was little. The doctors are saying that it is probably not related but I think it might me. I have headaches all the time. I would check with a neurologist to get a second opinion and you may want to have an MRI done on your spine. That's how the doctors found the Syrinx in my spine.
