Ask your doctor about the possibilities of Adhesions - scar tissue, which could be caused by the previous abdominal pain.
In my case, I had never had any surgeries, however, for some reason I grew adhesions (scar tissue) and they became entwined with my bowels. This is from what I was told, not common. They could not "see" it on any tests until they did the lapriscopy and were amazed at what they found. My abdomen was covered with adhesions and my bowels/kidney was twisted by the adhesions. They had to cut them and remove what they could.
The pain began randomly as you describe it. Over time it became more frequent (that is when I pressed my doctor for help). By the time they actually scheduled a lapriscopy, I could not eat. When I did I could literally feel the food as it wound its way through my intestines - it felt like a chain was being pulled through....
Adhesions are common! Twisting the bowels is apparently not all that common, but since you have had so many lapriscopies, the chances of having adhesions are high. Talk to your doctor!
God Bless!

Hi,
I think the possibility of gas pain being so severe is less. Since you have undergone multiple laparoscopies it is quite possible that this is a nerve pain originating from the subcutaneous nerve endings.
Hello,
This pain is very random and happens once or twice a day. It has been going on for over a month and a half. I know gas pain can be painful, but this is very, very severe. I have a high tolerance for pain. I have struggled with endometriosis for 13 yrs and have had 5 laparoscopy's and the pain is about 100 times worse than the cramping I get with endometriosis. Do you still think it could be gas pain. Does gas pain last that long?
Hi,
When does this pain usually occur?
This pain could also be due to gas. You can try OTC antacids and see if they help.
A nerve pain in the abdomen is quite rare.
