VP Shunt

My 14 yr old was diagnosed w/ brain cancer 2 yrs ago and had to have a VP shunt placed for hydrocephalus. Once he finished his radiation treatment and came off the steriods, he started to have headaches daily with no relief. They have run blood work for everything, ran all tests and because nothing is showing up they are telling me it is not the shunt. Now recently he spent almost a week in the hospital because his balance is off and cant walk without feeling like he is going to fall. His head feels like it is spinning all the time and still have headaches 24/7 . No meds will help  - nothing at all. They told us the beginning of the year is was his sinuses - so he went and had sinus surgery (twice) well headaches are still there..... My son is getting worse and because nothing shows on a picture they tell me its not the shunt... I truly feel it is and now I read on here and see others have issues also. If anyone can help me, please let me know. Thank you

My daughter is having similar issues.   Had the shunt since birth.  The issues started shortly after last revision.   Had several cat scans and they say there’s nothings my wrong.    We are currently trying migraine medication but it does not seem to help.
