Dr. Santos provided excellent advice.  Just as a thought, every so often burning sensations are caused by thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiencies.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present?  Burning sensation may be attributed to infection, skin or nerve conditions and underlying medical conditions like diabetes, shingles, or peripheral vascular disease. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Direct clinical examination and complete neurological examination are important. Take care and do keep us posted.
