WHITE MATTER LEISION

I RECENTLY HAD AN MRI DONE, AND IT WAS FOUND TO HAVE A WHITE MATTER LEISON IN THE LEFT PARIETAL LOBE OF MY BRAIN.. FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS, I'VE HAD NUMBNESS AND TINGLING AND TINGLING IN THE TIPS OF MY FINGERS AND SHARP PAIN IN MY ARMS AND LEGS. I HAVE ALSO EXPIERENCED BLURRED VISION AND I'M ONLY 22 YEARS OLD, I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE MS OR CHRONIC ISCHEMIA. CAN YOU GIVE ME AN IDEA?

White matter lesions, while suggestive of certain disorders if found in specific locations, are not, by themselves, diagnostic of any particular disease.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a recurrent, and occasionally progressive, inflammatory demyelinization of the white matter of the brain and spinal cord resulting in multiple and varied neurologic symptoms and signs such as ataxia, blurred or loss of vision in a single eye, dysarthria, fatigue, hemiparesis, incoordination, paresthesias, etc.

Although you are experiencing some symptoms that might be related to MS, it would be hasty to jump to any conclusions at this time.

Consult a neurologist at the earliest possible time to assess your symptoms and MRI findings.
