I just recently had an MRI of the brain, cervical & lumbar spine. My report is as follows: There are tiny hyperintensities at the frontal subcortical white matter and at the right parietal white matter. Ill-defined hyperintensities at the posterior parietal white matter on both sides. These are not typical for demyelination but in the appropriate clinical setting, cannot be entirely excluded. Questionable hyperintensity at the right side of the pons.
Final Impression: Tiny hyperintensities at the frontal subcortical white matter, right pariel white matter and ill-defined hyperintensities at the posterior parietal white matter. These are nonspecific. In the appropriate clinical setting, demyelination is not excluded. Differential diagnosis may include Lyme's Disease. Prominent lymph nodes at the neck.
Ok...can a professional please explain this to me. This is driving me nuts. Initially they were saying it was MS, now a possibility of Lymes disease. I am so confused.
