Why can't I walk!?

I am 12 years old and I have been on crutches for 6 weeks. It started with pain in my right lower abdomen (like appendicitis). I was brought to the hospital where they did an x-ray and cat-scan of my hip area. The doctors suspected it was appendicitis until they saw the  test results- completely normal. About 4 days later my abdominal pain worsened suddenly and I couldn't move my right leg. I went to the hospital again, they did the x-ray and cat scan again of my hip, which were normal. Then they did an ultra sound, which was also normal. They discharged me and told me to follow up with my primary care doctor, and gave me crutches since I couldn't walk. I have been tested for Lyme disease and it was negative, but i was put on doxycycline anyways for two weeks which didn't help whatsoever. I went to an infectious disease specialist who did blood tests for things like mono- everything was normal once again. My parents are now looking for a neurologist to get an MRI. For the past 6 weeks I have experienced, fatigue, muscle weakness primarily in arms and legs, hallucinations ("rain", silver dots, black dots and black clouds, sometimes they are still there when i close my eyes), ringing in ears, hear weird sounds (music, muttering ect), inability to stand from sitting position without using my hands, loss of concentration, memory loss, slurred speech or stuttering, sensitivity to light, intermittent headaches, tilted head (recent onset), continued right hip pain, occasional right shoulder pain, difficulty doing daily activities with right arm especially, burning sensations on bottoms of feet, new symptoms arise or intensify at night, headaches (top and back of head, like it is going to explode),and inability to sleep normal hours (sleep during day awake at night). I've seen an eye doctor who said i don't have anything obvious wrong with my eyes. It's getting more and more difficult to use my crutches because I am so weak. I've missed 4 weeks of school and have multiple tutors. Could I have MS? Are there any other diseases that are like MS and match these symptoms? Do you have any suggestions?

Wow that's weird. I've been thinking it could be something like that because the only x-rays that i've had lately were either on my right wrist or my right hip. Did he just wake up one morning and he was paralyzed or did it come on gradually?

At the moment I'm not paralyzed I can move my toes and everything just my right leg is painful/numb and tingly especially when I put weight on it and my left leg and the rest of my limbs are getting progressively weaker. I'm waiting for this neurologist to accept me "as his patient."

I was also considering a brain tumor in my head as scary as it sounds, but I guess I should accept the possibilities. Lately (these past few days) has been hurting more in the back, and top of my head and the back or neck and it's really tender, so I have to lie down in a certain positions. AND my neck is always leaning to either the right side or left side because my head feels heavy so its hard to hold it up straight. Not to mention I have been really nauseous. Thanks for your help!

My nephew had similar symptoms and an mri showed a growth in his back that was pressing on the spine. He became paralyze from the waste doen, but surgery to remove the growth and a couple of years of physical therapy, has him almost back to normal.
The odd thing is that he was 1 of 4 unrelated people in the same rural area that had this.

Yeah I have been upset, but there isn't much to do about it. That makes me wish I lived in Australia.
But the second time I was in the hospital I only had the pain in my right side and wasn't able to walk, I didn't have all the other symptoms. Either way I agree and I wish that doctors around here still cared about their patients that weren't "dying".

Hi,  I just think the whole thing is odd. If I had a 12 year old child with those symptoms and the doctors didn't admit them to hospital for thorough investigation, I would be very, very upset.

All I can say is, our hospital and medical systems must be VERY different to each other.
