Wondering what "strong supra-tentorial component" means

Hi,

I went to a nerologist after getting into a car accident where I smashed my head on the windshield.  I have had 2 MRI's one with contrast one without.  The one without showed "few tiny punctate lesions of questionable significance in the midbrain area" the one with GAD (performed a few months later) showed no such foci.  I have a mild tremor (bilateral and relatively high frequency).  My main question is after talking with the nerologist again after the scans, he suspects familial tremor.  I was reading his notes and he refers to a "strong supra-tentorial component" and goes on to say anxiety is also a contributing factor.  I was wondering what exactly supra tentorial component could mean?  I thought this was a support structure for the cerebrum and cerebellum?  What could he mean by this?

Your time and help is appreciated

I forgot to add that I had bell's palsey and was dx'd with lyme disease, treated with doxycycline about 6 years ago.

My tremor gets really aggrivated when I lift weights or do push ups.  Also while trying to put a key in a lock.  I do have problems with short term memory and "brain fog" as I have come to call it.  My PCP and nerologist think that CNS lyme is probably not the problem, because my blood work came back normal (IgG, IgM, western blot).

Do you think this is related to lyme or something else going on here?
