Worried about possible brain problems, please read

Hello, i'm a 21 year old male whose very afraid that I may have a brain aneurysm or brain tumor.  I do suffer from anxiety and feel somethin is wrong with me alot, but I really do feel something is wrong with my brain. I have stiff necks, fatigue, feel that vision changed (even though eye doctor said it stayed the same from 3 years ago), random headaches, ringing in the ears, and sometimes weakness and dizziness, but not always. I was wondering if these symptoms should be checked out.  There is no history of these things in my family but I'm worried very much.  I went to the eye doctor a month ago and he said he didn't see anything but I'm very worried, plesae read and respond. Thank you

There's nothing worse than dealing with the frustrations of health issues that mimic such serious conditions.  I have also had some of these symptoms that have now lasted for over seven months.  My neuro determined (following a normal MRI) that the tension in my neck was putting pressure on my cranial nerves.  This caused a tightness in my head, pressure in my ears, and blurred vision.  Along with that, I have experienced numbness in my face, arms, and legs and now I have started to notice body twitches and tremors.  Every test has produced "normal" results.  I continue to hope that this will leave as quickly as it entered my life.  Thanks for the tip on the Anxiety forums...I'll check them out.  Best wishes on continued good health.

It is a real torture to be worried about your health.  Your symptoms are very non-specific and do not suggest a brain tumor, aneurysm or brain problem.  They really are typical things suffered by people with anxiety disorders.  That said, only you can help distinguish these from physical problems that might need treatment.  I suggest you have a good physical exam and have your anxiety treated.  Treatment can be therapy, exercise, diet, relaxation techniques, medication or a combination.

Also there is a support forum here on MedHelp that focuses on anxiety and the havoc that it can cause. There are two locations:  One is a Doctor-to-Patient Forum - Mental Health.  The doc there seems to be very responsive, compassionate and can guide you toward which symptoms chould be checked out.  The other is the unmoderated Anxiety Forum in which people share their experiences, what has worked and what hasn't.  It helps to see how many people suffer from this.  Very common in young adults and teens.  It is really enlightening to see people sharing their help over there and I've read many reports on this forum of people benefiting from a visit to the Anxiety Forum.

Good luck.  Quix
