should i be worried about als

I've been experiencing fasciculation in everywhere u could image. My arms legs back, neck, face for 2 and a half months now. Just recently about 4 days ago my neck and back hurt when I turn it to the left side. It still hurts sometimes without turning it but its very dull. However the pain when I turn my head to the left is sharp and hurts bad. The left side of my body feels less muscular when I flex it. My doctor didn't notice anything and said my reflexes were fine. He also didn't witness any fasics because of course it didn't happen when I was there. What do u guys think about my symptoms. The fasics and weird muscle feeling weak but the doctor didn't confirm the weakness. With now the sharp neck and back pain for the last 4 days. Please give me your opinions.

Listen to your doctor. If you don't trust him go and see a neuromuscular specialist at a ALS certified clinic. Get an EMG and a MRI. If your reflexes are normal then I highly doubt it's anything life threatening. But I'm not a doctor. I been twitching for 5 years, and have been where you are mentally. Get a second opinion. Tell the doctor you want an emg.

Did you get an MRI, EMG, it sounds like benign Faciculation syndrome  but you should see a neuromuscular specialist, have an emg and a physical exam to put your fears at ease. Doesn't sound like ALS but I'm not a doctor.

Thanks for your response. It appears I may have just sprained my neck and the pain has since passed now I just have to wrry why I'm twitching and why my left side seem s less muscular. I'm really hoping its just because its my non dominant side since bodies are never completely symmetrical. I did see a neurologist and told him my concern with als and didn't seem to take me serious because I'm quite young. He tested my reflexes and looked at my muscles and said I was fine. ive heard stories of younger people with als and its kinda scaring me to the point I'm making life decisions as if ill die in a few years. He didn't see the point of doing an emg or mri. He said I don't have ms and hes pretty sure its not als. But I just cant seem to shake the fact my life could be over soon at such a young age. Do you think the fact he didn't wanna see an emg or mri I should be fine? Maybe my arms arnt as off looking as I thought. I honestly believe in my head I could have als. Because I'm still twitching and getting weird symptoms. Like the left side being less muscular. Also it feels like I have a bunch of mucus just always having to be cleared from my throat. Anyway what do u think. My family thinks I'm stressing and out ofg shape but I don't know I'm so fearful.
