Thank you for your comment, of which i have now made an appointment with my doctor this thursday to hope get sorted out. This problem as been on going now for a couple of years, and at the time i first went i could not raise my leg at all and the pain was immense. My doctor wanted me to have a scan at the time but the nurology team suggested physio at first, which i went to for over a year on and off but still getting the problems also they tried accupunture which i found of no benefit. It has got to the stage now that as i said before in my other letter that my back is making a snapping noise like a match, I have quick sudden shooting pains in my leg and some times in my neck which either goes to the ankle or elbow. I often take nurofen to help me sleep at night as i find my hip and legs will wake me up with an intense throbbing, and it sounds strange but my legs feel as though they have a cold metal in them a weird sensation. Also i find when i have my bowels open my spine makes a funny sort of clunking sound god im falling apart. Thank you again
In slipped disc or disc prolapse conditions, symptoms may originate due to nerve root pressure, pressure on the spinal cord and pressure on the tail bone. Common symptoms could be paralysis of muscles, pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness radiating to the legs. Warning symptoms can include loss of control of the bladder function, paralysis & spasticity of both the legs. If you are suffering continuous weakness and notice reduced strength of muscle bulk in leg, please arrange an appointment with a neurologist right away. Further referral to a physiotherapist for spinal exercises could be beneficial and may produce relief of symptoms. Hope this helps. Take Care & Stay Healthy!!!
