back, leg and foot pain, and burning feeling

I have been suffering for years with these symptons. back, burning feeling in buttocks, leg warm, foot burning feeling, and pain in toe. I am sceduled to go in for a nerve block on my leftt side. Is this the right procedure for this type of problems?

Hi,

Your symptoms are very suggestive of nerve compression in the lower back due to disc herniation or prolapse. Nerve blocks are usually injected near the nerves for temporary control of pain. Anesthetic agents are commonly used for nerve blocks.
