thanks for the reply. she has been seen by a neurologist over a week ago now and had an mri scan but as yet we have had no results. after the procedure she was paralysed for 15 hours. she was aware what was going on around her but was unable to open her eyes or move or speak.. she overheard two doctors talking and one of them said she had been overdosed. she was also seeing and talking to her dead brother for a few days after this happened. nobody has been and explained to her or her family what has happened hence me coming on here as we are just playing a guessing game at the moment and not getting anywhere with the hospital staff.
Hi there!
Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation. This is likely to be a TIA/ stroke, which may or may not have anything to do with the procedure or the anesthesia. Other possibilities that may need to be considered include neuro-degenerative/ demyelinating disorders, etc. I would suggest consulting a neurologist at your earliest convenience for a detailed evaluation and suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
Take care!
