brain swelling or CSF leak?

brain swelling or CSF leak?

Im hoping someone will answer my questions maybe a Dr or someone who has similar issues.
Its been six months since my surgery and i still get awful headachs 24/7 (some worse than others). I have been off all pain meds but Tylenol just doesnt work and have to use too much and everyday (dont want to damage my liver). I am still confused at times and dizzy. My last MRI in of Sept. showed that my head was still swollen. Shouldnt I be treated for the swelling not for a headache? Should I be on steroids or something to relieve pressure? How do I know if i have a CFS leak?

Hi, if u had a CSF leak, u would be sick as well as having a head ache......what kind of surgery did u have?
Did u have a follow up MRI?....if not call ur NS and request that u have a follow up MRI and ask if it is possible to have a CSF leak....if it is a minor leak, mayb that is a reason for the head aches.

I had an imbalance of CSF after a epidural and I had to stay in the dark, it had to be quiet, I had to eat lying down.....and if I did get up, I cried it hurt so bad and it caused me to vomit.I could not do nething.

Ur best bet is call ur NS.

Good luck
Godspeed
