MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This is a side effect of the anaethesia she had. She has to be examined by the anaesthetist who has done this, or any other anaesthetist to confirm this and then start medication. Epidural anaesthesia sometimes has some side effects in some individuals. She will regain slowly the strength and stamina and till then she has to be counselled and helped so she will have speedy recovery.
Take care

it is very possible that the injection hit the siatic nerve, it does happen.  and it is extremly painful, it will cause headaches, pain in the legs, feet, and nubness, tingling among other symtoms, here is a link to check out.  pregnancy alone can cause damage to the siatic never, but when the epidural injection hits that nerve on top of it, you add that much more problem to it.  the only thing to do, is take NSAID's (non steriodal antinflammatory drugs ie: advil, motrin, aleve) for the swelling which will help with the pain as well. , only if she is not nursing  the numbness and tingling she feels is the nerve being pinched off from swelling somewhere along the line, so the NSAID's will help reduce the swelling, and again help with the pain.  I used to be a nurse, and I too have this problem, so also speaking from experience.  Good luck, if you have any questions, I will do my best to help.

I am not a doctor but possibly she is allergic to the injections ...
Did the doctors check.. ?
An allergic reaction If it is bad enough can kill I don't Doubt that is could cause burning in hands and feet... also Possible blood clot. The pregency possibility caused a chain reaction have the doctors look up her medical history and if they can tell them to do research if they have time. Other than that I really have no solution
