a few years ago i felt like someone rubbed pepper under the skin of my right arm. Fast forward to now...i've been feeling that burning in my stomach for approximately 2 wks now. I went to a doctor (as my doc is on vacation) and he passed it off as nothing(Friday 9-28-07) Since yesterday this burning is now in my arms, my chest, my stomach, legs & fingers. I also get some tingling & numbness in my fingers and legs. What should i do. I think thie doctor thinks i'm crazy. Thank you
Ask for a referal to a neuro and a nerve conduction study. This would show if there is anything wrong with the actual nerves. Also an MRI would show if you have a pinched nerve causing this. Good luck, don't let any doctor tell you you're crazy.unless you are! LOL (Just my weird sense of humor) Some doctors don't want to dig when they can't see a physical problem. Good luck, and get some help. There is a new medication called Lyrica which helps with the burning sensations.
My husand is 47 years old and has a terrible stinging and burning in his left forearm. The skin looks different and also feels different. We have been to a neurologist and a dermatologist. He had no nerve damage and the skin checked out okay. He cannot sleep at night without wrapping his arm in an ice pack. We are at a complete loss and it is starting to affect his attitude toward his daily activities. Any suggestions?
I too have been experiencing the burning sensations but its al over my body and feels like my insides are going to burn alive then my skin gets EXTREMELY hot and i get flushed. I don't know what to do. Please can someone help me?
I have a best friend, she has a really big problem. Her skin burns whenever she touches anything but silk. She has been to so many doctors and she doesn't know what it is. It upsets me because she's like my sister. I still don't know what's happening. I wish I did.
