I have a best friend, she has a really big problem. Her skin burns whenever she touches anything but silk. She has been to so many doctors and she doesn't know what it is. It upsets me because she's like my sister. I still don't know what's happening. I wish I did.

My husand is 47 years old and has a terrible stinging and burning in his left forearm. The skin looks different and also feels different. We have been to a neurologist and a dermatologist. He had no nerve damage and the skin checked out okay. He cannot sleep at night without wrapping his arm in an ice pack. We are at a complete loss and it is starting to affect his attitude toward his daily activities. Any suggestions?
What do you do when the lyrica stops working like it did??
Ask for a referal to a neuro and a nerve conduction study. This would show if there is anything wrong with the actual nerves. Also an MRI would show if you have a pinched nerve causing this. Good luck, don't let any doctor tell you you're crazy.unless you are! LOL (Just my weird sense of humor) Some doctors don't want to dig when they can't see a physical problem. Good luck, and get some help. There is a new medication called Lyrica which helps with the burning sensations.
