buzzing muscles in arms and legs

I have been seeing a neurologist for 5 months with no diagnosis yet.  3 times I have had several days of weak legs and gait abnormalities.  My muscles lightly buzz much of the time -- mostly in my legs and my upper arms.  It is a gentle buzz.  Any ideas?

Have you had an EMG/NCS done?  I have gait abnormalities, buzzing, mucle twitching, spasms and now numbness.  This had been going on for about 2 years and nothing would show up in my testing until the gave me a nerve conduction study.  My results show a sensory motor polyneuropathy.  We still don't know what is causing it yet.

Hope u get this figured out soon!

Just wondering doctor how benign fasiculation sydrome, thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, or any of the things you mentioned would effect someones gait or cause the legs to be weak?

Hi,

How are you?
Your symptoms can be due to benign fasciculation syndrome. Other possibilities that need to be excluded are thyroid dysfunction, diabetes and B12 deficiency. Dehydration and lack of electrolytes can also cause muscle twitches and fasciculation.
Please undergo further clinical evaluation and let us know if you need more information.
