I now have been in pain for over 8 yrs. and am still looking for a Surgeon to do a Bilateral Cingulotomy on me to take the pain away. I had a Dr. in Madison WI that has done it before but after 7 months of lying to me has changed his story and said he cannot help. I always thought doctor had a code of ethics but I was wrong. They lie to you just like any other ******* would.
Please let me know if you know how I can find a surgeon to help me.
I need to stay in the Medwest area.
Thank you

Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.
Cingulotomy is a form of brain surgery that requires severing of the fibres of the cingulum bundle (in brain) in order to provide relief from extreme pain in body. Since it is a brain surgery so can not be considered risk free, but most commonly reported side effects are nausea, vomiting, and headaches. In few patients, seizures are also occurred. It will be best that you consult your treating doctor and risk evaluated before the surgery. Hope this helps.
