Rugger,
I hope you checked out the link in the first post. I saw a documentary on TV about ecstacy that was kinda scary, covered all aspects of that particular drug use. They did a brain scan of a young lady, she had parts of her brain that were not functioning. So, your next step is to get with a neurologist and have him do a scan for you, see where you're at on that.
I don't know who is prescribing your antidepressant, but in my humble opinion, you need better help. I hope you will try to see a new psychiatrist, preferably one that belongs with a group of docs, and start talking with someone there who knows about ecstacy people and how to work with them. You could also ask the doc to make a change with your antidepressant and maybe even add a tranquilizer or something. In addition, you should be talking to someone there who can address just plain old ordinary anger/depression issues, unrelated to ecstacy.
All these things cost money, so if you're short on account of not working at the moment, you could try the county health clinic, if your regular docs get too expensive. In the meantime, one of the easiest things you can do to help yourself while you're seeking improved treatment, is to become as healthy as you can, by regular exercise that breaks a sweat (relieves stress), fresh simple foods, lots of water, all that sort of thing. And give yourself time to just shut down and relax really well, by doing anything pleasant that you like to do.
I might add, give your supervisor a phone call. Tell them you've had personal issues and could you please come back to work there. It's worth a shot! Keep it private what's bugging you. The last thing you need is to let an emotional outburst, which EVERYBODY has those now and then, to come between you and a good work record. Next time you feel like you're going to boil over, two keys to prevent that is (A) remove yourself from the situation by going to another room, and (B) breathe very deeply to a count of ten. I'm sure you've heard of the latter.
Hope this helps you a little. GG
Hi,
Ecstasy contains semisynthetic derivative of amphetamine known as methylene dioxymethamphetamine.

For the second question, it is difficult to tell without examination if your symptoms are due to overuse of ecstasy. But of course the possibility is there since depression is one of the after effects of its use. I would suggest you not to hesitate and get a clinical exam done.
Thanks
I used ectasy every weekend for about 2 years in my mid twenties. I am now in my mid thirties and have been suffering with deprssion for about a year now.. I feel however that i am noticing that my depresssion fluctuates frequently. One day happy as can but then the next day i am an emotional mess or just bitchy. i used to chalk the moodiness up to hormones, but i have also noticed that i am paranoid at times and over sensitive. I left my job two days ago in a panic and an emotional meltdown. I feel as though i am losing control of myself and my life. I have a hard time remembering things. Could these symptoms be from ectasy brain damage? Could it get worse? I am taking an antidepressive but it doesn't seem to be doing the job. What should i do?
