did I have a stroke?

so i'm only 19.

a month ago I was at a party and I snorted what I thought at the time was MDMA. About 45 min - an hour later I experianced Nystagmus (the people around don't confirm this. but I'm quite sure I lost control of my right eye.), had a sudden bad headache, and lost consciousness. When I woke up within 10 min later I was confused and pretty much braindead. The confusion soon left but the stupidity stayed. I was told it was a just a siezure, that I shouldn't go to sleep and that I'd be fine, which I was. I never went to the hospital.

I felt as normal as ever within a few days, and its not surprising it took awhile as this took place at the end of a 3 day rave. I was pretty worn out.

Even though I feel fine a month later, is there cause to worry? Should I get an MRI?

If it makes you that worried I think the amount of Times a years should be 0. You definitly do not need that to be happy in Life . And if youre doing it to be socially accepted well it's not a good reason either, your friends should understand if theyre real friend..

Sorry dont Want to be patronizing or anything but Felt like I had to say it.. Like the other said, get High on Life !

It's okay Rode, just covering all bases on that one.  I hope someone else who knows more about seizuring with drugs can pinpoint if you have a serious health issue going on or not.  I think you'll be okay, but check with a doc.  GG

Rode,
Well, I do think your seizure event should be reviewed by a neurologist, those things can cause damage in the brain, altho sounds like yours was temporary and only related to that one day.  Also, visiting an ear nose throat ENT doc would be a good idea, too, he might need to check out how your nose and nasal cavities are doing, cuz you may have indeed had a little injury in there.  Then HE would know if you needed any further radiology studies, based on your symptoms and what your exam turns out to be.

May I make a suggestion?  Don't snort any of that stuff; if you feel you just gotta get wasted now and then, DRINK it, scrape it off into a glass of water, you get the same effect.  Also, having a seizure is no good, so pay attention to how much of the stuff you're taking in at one time.  And while I know what it's like to be your age and doing all this, I have to tell you I saw a TV documentary a couple years ago, a young lady was doing Ecstacy constantly, and she began to have neuro problems, so her mother had her head scanned, and hon, that picture they showed of how much of her brain was GONE really scared the heck out of me.

Just get high on life.  Exercise, find things you like to do like art, studying something you're intrested in, BE someone.  Clean up your act.  That seizure was a warning to you, so treat it as a gift.  Stuff happens for a reason.  GG
