Hands get cold get pins and needles short time.

I have MS but not sure this is related.  When my hands get cold and get out of the cold my hands get pins and needles for a short time.  Any ideas?

This is normal, the blood is returning to your hands in the warmth causing that painful/tingling feeling.  If you find your hands and feet get cold easily and sometimes turn completely white you may have Raynaud's Phenomenon, which is chronic and runs in families, but not anything serious unless you've always wanted to go to the arctic, just kind of annoying.

Hi there. These sensations could be MS related, due to raynaud’s phenomenon seen in certain connective tissue disorders like scleroderma, Berger’s disease or atherosclerosis. Degenerative disc disease also needs to be investigated with an MRI spine since this could cause nerve compression. Consult a neurologist for evaluation. Hope this helps. Take care.
