does excess X-rays burn body tissue?

I first noticed, at age 16,  painful twinges in my left hip. By age 38  they returned. Increasing pain over the years  lead to repeat X-rays,  usually 3-4-5  at a time and  close to 100 X-ray by age 65 time of  2 total  hip replacements. Yet I could never quite rid myself of the notion that the excessive X-ray exposure of  the pre-op decades  may have been a contributing factor of hip erosion. I also speculated that prolonged periods of acute  stress may have resulted, via an emotionally heated, inflamed sciatic nerve orig. in the brain, in  acidic, synovial  fluid depleting,   fiercely  throbbing,  movement restricting, totally debilitating conditions. My physical body had simply follow my repeated mentally given orders (suggestions) with every  heart  felt  sigh of  " I Don’t  want to GO ON anymore'......until I could not move one single step or lift my foot over the curb edge without crying out  in agony.

PS: I never smoked or did drugs, consumed min. of alcohol,  rarely required Meds..and never been hospitalized except for hips.

I have extensive literature on the effects of radiation on human tissue.  I worked for a time as an x-ray tech. The answer to your question is yes. As least a qualified yes. This is not necessarily the cause, but it is a possible cause. The problem is worse because many machines (especially those in doctor's offices) have not been calibrated and the dose is far in excess of that necessary for the film.
