ear

my right ear has been ringing, off and on,  all night long.  whats up with that

Hello.

It is quite possible that you have the ringing all day, but not able to hear it due to the loud noises in the surroundings.

You should look for any infection in your ear. Do you have any pain symptoms? Observe if you have nausea, vomiting, dizziness or vertigo.

There is an inner ear apparatus which is concerned with balance. If there is some dysfunction of the inner ear apparatus, you may have ringing in the ears (tinnitus).

Tinnitus is also a symptom with high blood pressure. lastly, you should get a Neurologist's opinion on this. A neurological examination is necessary to get to a diagnosis.
