Hi there yes I ave seen a neurologist and will be seen again on the 7th December.
My own docotor saw me this week and agrees this is a neuro problem that comes in waves. He witnessed my slurred speech and note my difficultie in balance. Yesterday I awoke to the room spining I was so frieightend when I close my eyes it stopped. The numbness around the mouth and hands are with me today. I think when I have the MRI I will get some answers. My eye was shut again today its so weird. Have you confirmation that you have MS our did your symtoms first begin?
I hope you are in good health today best wishers tarter..
all those symptoms you mention are pretty common for MS. Have you had that ruled out by the GP? They might want to refer you to a Neurologist as they would be the ones best suited to read MRIs and determine what might be going on.
Wishing you the best,

Hi thanks for your comments yes my eye does shut by itself and I have to wait for it to open by its self. When this happens my legs are affected they feel differant and speech also. Its kind of like a bad fatigue and weakness sets in.
Thanks again tarter...
Does your eye shut by itself? I had this problem a year or so ago where the eyelid would shut itself, and I would have to wait until it felt like opening by itself. It was diagnosed by my Neurologist as Blepharospasm. It lasted a few weeks, but with steroids it died down as most flare-ups with MS do. I'm not trying to say you have MS, but I wonder if other folks could have Blepharospasm as well for other reasons.
I wish you the best,

Hi Rowena,
Thank you for your comments. My medical history was good till Kerosene exposure through combustion for 5yrs and vapors for 6 months. My neurologist I only see once a year he found positive rombergs, brisk reflexs in legs & arms. The pin ***** in feet made my toes fan out. My speech becomes slurred when tired and toes burn.
My GP has asked for another brain scan. I wondered if I had Myasthenia gravis because of fatigue, weakness and numb areas on face. I suppose its a case of watch and wait but it would be great to know what is happening to a once energetic healthy person.
I thank you again for taking the time for your comments. tarter...
Hi,
How are you? Facial numbness may be due to damage to the nerves that supply the face or due to impairment in the function of nerves. If it persists, have this evaluated further by your doctor for proper management. Your medical history and complete physical and neurological examination will help determine the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
