I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had a lumpectomy . Lately I have noticed a burning pain in my shoulder and upper arm. Is this a relationship between the two?

Hi,

You need to follow up with your breastsurgeon immediately and get a clinical evaluation done.

Do you have any swelling at the site?

You could try some pain relief medications, warm compresses and local application of analgesic ointment and see if it helps with your symptoms.

Let us know if you have any other doubts.

Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Regards.
