hands are numb and fingers don't bend

hands are numb and fingers don't bend

My dad is 85 and recently started having symptoms of his arm going numb and his hands and fingers being numb and tingly. Now his fingers don't bend properly and he can not easily pick up a fork or drinking glass or zip his fly. He has had slight drop foot for years but now it is much worse and he has trouble walking. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Check for his raidal nerve, ulnar nerve strength. Take him to a neurologist and you can gauge the strength of the nerves which control these movements.
He is aging and he would have these symptoms, try giving vitamin B12 and consult a good neurologist.
Take care!
