headache when bending, coughing

what causes full head headache - painful pressure - when bending or coughing or having a bowel movement etc?
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, never had it before. My nose is fine (no congestion or apparent sinus problem).

I have had what I thought was a sinuse headache every day and night for the last 4 weeks I have been taking otc medication with hardly any relief sometimes it is so bad I have doubled up on the Sinuse pills that they make me sick to my stomach. I went out and bought a humidifier that hasn.t helped I wake up with the same headache I went to bed with. Another symptom is everytime I would bend over or cough my head would just pound and recently whenever I go to the bathroom BM or peeing I get this sharp stabbing pain that starts at my temple and radiates out to the side of my head this is on the right side of my head. Also I am in menopause my period stopped last January and before this started 4 weeks ago I haven't had a hot flash in months. Now its happening all the time. So any ideas?

Hi,

Pain while bending, straining at bowels can be an exertional headache. Usually exertional headaches go away on their own after some time. Sometimes they may persist for longer durations and then therapy with Indomethacin is usually prescribed.

However these symptoms could also be due to raised intracranial pressure to due to brain lesions. Therefore it is always advised to undergo a complete clinical evlaution if one gets pain when straining at stools.
Thanks
