hip injury

My doctor want me to have an MRI with contrast. I read that the dye could cause kidney disease, sistemic
fibrosis. I injured my hip during dancing. i HAVE PAIN IN MY GROIN. what should I do?

Hi,
Some widely used MRI dyes may cause a number of side effects, including a serious, potentially fatal disease known as nephrogenic systemic fibrosis, or NSF. The disease  manifests as hardening and/or thickening of the skin and connective tissues. In some instances, this thickening may also affect internal organs and is very fatal.  
Patients who suffer from NSF may experience severe debilitation, pain, skin lesions and red spots, pain in the bones, muscle weakness, Severe allergic reactions, Blood clots, Hives, Inflammation of blood vessels, Lightheadedness and Shortness of breath.  Please discuss with your neurologist and go for a non contrast MRI if possible.
