Still symptomatic, no answers

Hi,
For about a month, I have been having episodes with a variety of symptoms that have included of slow/slurred speech, muscle weakness in my arms/hands (both), droopy right eye, difficulty focusing, concentrating, articulating, and finishing/forming thoughts. The episodes last around 15-20 minutes. My small motor control in my hands seems to be affected as well as my legs feel kind of rubbery and slow. Everything seems to slow down. My head feels really heavy and full and my ears are very full of pressure. Sometimes I just have the full feeling/brain fog feeling. Other times of the day, I am absolutely fine. For the most part, these episodes occur daily varying in severity.
I have been in two hospitals for two stays in the past month. My MRI and EEG were both fine. My TSH was 12.87 about three weeks ago and they upped my syntroid from 75 mcg to 100mcg. My thryoid antibodies were 1000. One neurologist started me on IV steroids and told me I had toxic metabolic encephalapothy but I stopped due to a phone consult with an endocrinologist who told me to get further evaluated. (NO MRI or anything else had been done). I stopped and spend four days in U. of Penn to come home with no diagnosis. I am currently on no treatment.
I can't get an appt. with an endocrinologist until July.
I know we've ruled out stroke, brain tumor, seizures, etc.
Myathenias graves? Lymes? Hashimoto's encephalopathy?
I feel I need to research because I have no answers.
Any advice, direction would be so helpful. I have 3 small kids and they are all being affected.

Hi.

I'm sorry to learn what you have been going through.  From what you have described, I believe that Myasthenia Gravis is really worth looking through, as this would explain much of what you are experiencing.  If your geographic location is endemic for lyme's then this is also a possibility.  Make sure also that your TSH is controlled with adequate thyroid medications.

I suggest that you discuss these angles with your doctors and probably be worked up for such.  Myasthenia gravis, like hashimoto's, is associated with autoimmune phenomenon and this is indeed a plausible diagnosis.
