are you sure?
I thought it was a solution for derealization?
I can't find where it says that it causes derealization in the source you provide.
would you please explain more?
thank you

Hi,

Your symptoms may be due to effexor. Venlafaxine (effexor) is known to cause depersonalization and derealization. It is a less common side effect.

I would suggest you to consult your neurologist about it as you may need dosage adjustment or you may have to switch to another drug.
Take care!

Dear Dr,
thank you for your reply.
I had this tumor resected from my right temporal lobe, however, I experience complete derealization before and after the surgery, can you please explain to me the reasons and possible solutions, the problem is that I feel everything is unreal, (feel detached from the world) ad feel I'm like in a dream. I'm on efexor, abilify and depaking and also I take levothyroxine because I recently have hypothyroidism.
please help me, the derealization is really hard to deal with.
I'm 21 years old male.
thank you

Hi,

How are you?
Gangliogliomas are benign tumors with neoplastic components. Grade II ganglioma is also a low grade tumor which can be treated to a large extent by resection. It is difficult to say without the histological analysis if it is benign or malignant.
