A recent MRI showed a "2 mm t2 signal hyperintensity in the right frontal subcortical white matter" and indicated it was nonspecific. I have been having MS like symptoms (weakness on right side of body, especially, and twitches) with what seemed like a flare up in late September.
A previous MRI done 6 years ago reported no abnormalities, so this is lesion is a new finding. My neurologist, however, refuses to look at the previous MRI for comparison and says that there is nothing wrong with me. In fact, he suggested that I was faking the symptoms.
I know you can't diagnose me, but should I consider getting a second opinion? Would a lumbar puncture be appropriate in the situation?
