Strange symptoms

I've been having some strange symptoms that are beginning to worry me.  Occasionally, while I am doing something (such as shaving or cleaning), I get stuck, like a mental block, and cannot continue what I am doing.  It is not that I forget what I was doing, but I suddenly cannot remember how to do it.  I can identify the object (such as a razor or sponge, etc) but I can no longer remember what I need to do to accomplish the task.  This lasts between a few minutes and an hour and then as suddenly as it started it stops and I can resume whatever I was doing.  The first couple times it happened I ignored it and went about my life, but it seems to be increasing in frequency.  The first few occasions were months apart and now I've had 2 occurances within 4 weeks.  This has been going on around a year and a half.

I do not lead a stressful life and I have not been able to determine any similiar circumstances between these occurances.  They do not appear, to me at least, to be anxiety or emotionally related.  I also am having headaches that are increasing in frequency and intensity (although they do not necessarily occur when I am having a mental block).

I would definately make an appointment with your doctor. Anything brain related espcially with having increase in headaches can be problematic...to say the least. If the doctor feels there is something going on they will refer you for testing (ie MRI) or send you off to a neurologist for further testing. Good luck to you.

My 5 year old daughter goes through similiar spells like those, not for an hour though .. she was diagnosed with complex partial epilepsy and also diagnosed with Sensory Seizures, which is when she has those spells .. you should probably see a neuro. Good Luck.
