my now 12 year old son was given a diagnoses at first of Left Basal ganglia stroke (his 2nd stroke first one was at 3 months during open heart and the 2nd was at age 7 years) took 11 months to get a MRI and no other tests were given to find out what caused the stroke. after 5 years of fighting, we were referred to another neurologist he listened and ran so many test wow. any way he discovered my son had Virchow Robins Space Syndrome. he had to run test to see if an auto-immune disease cause this or not (he was just given the diagnoses of Raynaud's which isn't one of the auto-immune disorders that would cause the VRS. they said it was an infection that caused the VRS. it took a few days for my head to stop spinning. I wanted answers and got them. finally but I was wondering if this means that he is at a higher risk for more events of VRS happening if he gets an infection we don't even know what infection he had cellulitis 2 weeks prior to this he goes back at the end of June for a follow up,
I just wondered if any one else ahs experience this before thank you
