nerve damage - tightness in bicep and numbness in thumb

I had a fusion at C3/C4 and C5/C6 and when I woke up from surgery I had nerve damage where I couldn't lift my right arm. It got better over a few days. After a year and a half I have constant tightness in my bicep and numbness in my thumb. I don't know if any form of exercise would help it or make it worse. It seems to get worse when I work. I keypunch a lot so I don't know if it's from my neck position causing swelling around the nerve in my neck or from actually using my hands/arms more.

I had an "over conditioned" bicep after an auto accident. I couldn't fully extend my arm and pain and burning in upper arm, forearm. It took about 8 months before it finally started to release.  I have a bulge at c4-5, herniated at 5-6 and 6-7, bulge at c7-t1, also TMJ with spasms of facial/neck muscles. Any time I increse my activities I pay for it and can feel that bicep getting tight.  I do not want surgery but hate all the limitations.  It has been well over a year so I guess its as good as it gets.  Accupuncture is wonderful.
