nerve regeneration?

The nerve running from my neck to the thumb and first 2 fingers on my right hand is damaged. It is ice cold all the time. Is there anything that can be done for this? It has been this way since my neck surgery of 2007.

I hope they help. I do believe the pharmacist said something about Mentax had something in it that helped your body absorb it better. Best wishes, Sissie

Thank you so much for your comment. I will check out the Mentax. I have been taking B12 for a while now.

As long as the nerve is not being compressed it can regenerate but it is very, very slow. Complex B-12 vitamins help though. They speed up the healing process just a bit and help the myelin sheath. If you do have a nerve trapped somewhere it will be very painful. There is a prescription medicine called Mentax that I was on briefly.
I have had severe nerve damage since 99, I lost 78% of the feeling from my waist down. I was prescribed the Mentax and was on it for about 3 months before I noticed I could feel some spots that were numb before. However at about the 6 month mark I had to stop due to pain.  I have two herniated disc in my low back and it was waking up the nerves that were being pinched. Very painful!  The pharmacist said I could just take a complex B vitamin and it would be the same as the Mentax only cheaper. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Sissie
