neuro problems and eye pain

Hi, Im a 33 yr old woman.  I've been having these problems for the last 18 months now and had numerous tests done.  Started with constant flu like symptoms.  I'll list the symptoms in order of them appearing.
Tremor, memory loss, concentration problems, very tired, dropping things, dribbling saliva from one corner of mouth, muscle fatigue, muscle pain, 3 stroke like episodes in 24 hours, muscles twitch when resting, vertigo, tinitus, everything is too loud and too bright, feel like there's a light on behind eyes, severe numbness in mornings (usually on opposite to that I've slept on), vibration sends shocks up arms.  Every so often I've been getting quite severe pain in my left eye which last for 24 - 48 hours.  My eyelid is slightly droopy and puffy.  It feels like I have a film over the left side of my eye.  When this happens it looks like a small portion of my pupil has disappeared.  Constant heel pain (diagnosed as plantar fasciitis).  Muscles are so sore and weak now I can hardly walk any distance at all.  Had brain MRI done which showed bright spots on basal ganglia (neurologist said they are of debatable importance), also had numerous bloods done which all came back normal.  Been tested for lyme which was negative.  Neurologist thinks I'm suffering from stress but I don't agree, have nothing in my life to be stressed about (except him telling me everyhtings in my head).  Doctor agrees with me that its not stress.  Things are getting worse if anything.  Can anybody help??

I was recently diagnosed with  EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) - we are doing tests now to figure out which type that i have...i probably have the classical type. It is a connective tissue disorder. I have had pain throghout most of my life but after the births of my two children it got so bad i could not even get a gallon of milk out of the refridgerator. Currently, my symptoms are being treated with pain medication and physical therapy...a few surgeries thus far have also been recommended...Although this diagnosis was not and is not a wonderful thing, the best thing is that now I know what it is and drs can no longer tell me that my pain is from stress or that it is fibromyalgia or in my head or depression or injuries from a minor auto accident! It is real and it is caused from a real syndrome which is genetic! My symptoms are many and include severe pain in all of the muscles and joints in my body (literally all including my occiput - joint where head and spine connect...the pain in my legs and ankes and feet feels like someone poured hot acid under my skin, twitches in my eyes(involuntary), swelling, dislocations, translucent skin, hyperflexibility, easy bruising, losing hair, foot/heel pain, sensitive gums that bleed often just from brushing and flossing and frequent urgency to urinate and #2... i can continue but i am sure you get the picture. There is another thing associated with eds called tethered cord which 2 neurosurgeons at the chiari institute in long island have discovered in their work- that connective tissue actually attaches to the base on your spine incorrectly and pulls your brainstem into your spinal canal causing your central and autonomal nervous systems to be in super hyper alert mode all of the time...anyway, if you suspect that you may have a type of EDS, you should find a geneticist in your area or just go to the ones who study connective tissue disorders for the NIH in Maryland at the harvey genetics institute...that is at least some place to start.

Don't you love it when a doctor doesn't have an answer then it's all in your head. I have several of your same symptoms (not all) and I'm told I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: vibration does not send shocks up my arms and I don't have severe numbness in the a.m. Most all my tests have come up normal. Stress does enhance the symptoms, even a disagreement with my husband. CFS is quite an involved illness. I am pretty much bedridden. My eye pain gets so bad that I think my eye balls are going to explode (mostly in my left eye) and my left eye lid droops.

A thousand years ago, science and medicine thought that the earth sat on the back of a turtle standing on two elephants. A thousand years from now, science and medicine will look at us and laugh in the same way. Medicine is just an educated guess.

Should also say, get severe restless legs when at rest.  When in bed need to urinate frequently if I lie on right side, dont know if that is connected to everything else or not!!
