pain after spinal fusion

I had a spinal fusion six weeks ago. (L4/5 with a cage a four screws).  I have had dullness in parts of my right foot  since surgery.   Two weeks ago as I increased my activity, mostly walking for about 10 to 15 minutes, I have developed pain that goes from my right buttocks into my thing and sometimes my calf.  The doctor has put me on an antiinflamatoryone week ago but I am very worried.  I did not have this pain prior to surgery.  Will this go away?

I had a fushion 2 years ago. L4/L5-L5/S1. I had worse pain after my surgery as well. I started having muscle spasms bad and still do to this day. I can hardly walk at times. I have to use a walker and wheelchair at times. It started when I was 28 and now 32. My surgeon left so I had no choice but to find another doctor. The next doctor did a MRI And x-ray 5 months after. Told me everything looks great. I had to go the PT and multiple shots. Seeing a pain managent doctor. Well all that was done before and after surgery. The cost has been such a burden.  Well it took 10 doctor in the 2 years of suffering after surgery. It gets worse every day since surgery. The 10th doctor just a few weeks ago decided to do a CT. I have 2 plats and 8 screws. Come to find out I am not 100% fused and I have some screws loose. I also found out that I have degentrative Sclerosis. I also after 4 years from my back went out bc of degenerative disc disease I have a 2mm bulge in my neck that is causing numbness in my hands very often.  MY BEST ADVISE I had 9 doctors tell me there is nothing wrong. Don't stop if your pain is worse after surgery. SOMTHING is wrong. Do not accept a doctor tell you every thing is ok. If your in alot of pain do not stop looking for a answer. I would 1st ask to have a CT scan. The MRI and X-ray did not show any of this and I also have the reports to see for my self. Living in this life if pain it will drive you crazy. DON'T STOP!!!!
Fight for a better QUILTY of life. I now have to do another fusion surgery. I had a anterior fusion the 1st time. I will be doing a postier fusion. I did have this last doctor say he would have done both not just a anterior. Watch out for that too. We will see if this 2nd surgery helps. I am praying. I see a neurosurgeon to do my surgery on July 8 to set when we can do the surgery.

I had the same surgery, but 3 discs and two cages, plate and rods/screws. I have been in more pain than before the surgery. Now my left hip hurts really bad and I can't move my leg at two the left. So after two ct scans and one mri that my my hip joint if extremely inflamed. I have to have a 3 injections into the joint next week to try and shrink the inflamation. I'm tired of being in pain and the pain meds don't help. My surgeon says it could take up to a year for complete recovery. It shows on my mri that I have some healing in the fusion area, not as much as he would like to see. But we are going to give it more time. If it isn't healed by the 8th month then he will go in and take out the screws.
