pain down right arm

i had a seizure dec 14th, first ever, cat scan neg., EEG showed abnormal, MRI showed an old hemmorage and other abnormalities that they are ?  MS  so i am scheduled to go to a neuro on jan. 16th and the next step is a spinal tap. but my question is the pain down my right arm, they are saying i have a bulging disc from the seizure and i have always had a weak upper back and go to a chiro routinely. i have been going to the chiro and physical therapy for 3 weeks and it is better but it still hurts pretty bad and my pointer finger is numb and middle digit is alittle numb. could this be the MS? my arm is weak and my main ? is when is enough  a enough and should i have an MRI OF THIS AREA.  when i rub down the back of my arm that muscle really hurts. i am a medical lab tech and , work night shift part time and i really think the lack of sleep brought the seizure on but until they can get coverage i have to work and  if this is MS should i work a night shift? everyon knows people dont sleep as well during the day. drawing blood is really going to be challenging with this right arm pain. i know im full of ? but this arm is giving me a fit. thank you  atjpbp

Hi.

Do you know what the official results of the MRI reported (I am assuming a brain MRI was done)?

Although multiple sclerosis (MS) can cause back and arm pain, it would be premature to consider that this is exactly what is causing your symptoms. Other conditions can cause the pain and a disc bulge causing nerve compression/impingement is one of the possible causes.  Another possible cause are muscle cramps.

An MRI of the spine (the cervical level) might possibly identify any abnormality that could be causing your symptoms. I would advise you against any form of physical manipulation for now, at least until the cause of your pain can be determined. If there is indeed disk herniation, any improper traction on the spine might lead to serious injury.

You should also go ahead with the follow up and spinal tap as part of the work-up for determining whether you have MS or not.

Hope this helps.
